About Us

Who we are?

Columbia Vantage Point Foundation is the fundraising arm of the Corporate Board of the Residences at Vantage Point.  We are comprised of 4 Resident Board Members,  3 Corporate Board Members and 2 At Large Community Members.

What we do?

Our Mission is to continuously enhance current resident quality of life, meeting their unique and evolving needs and to build endowments for the future to help financially sustain residents and strengthen the community.

How we do it?

The Foundation seeks support from residents, family members and the community.  The Resident Outreach Committee serves as Ambassadors of the Foundation, providing guidance and education on the purpose of the Foundation.  Donations can be made in the form of cash, bequests in wills, retirement assets and entrance deposit donations.  In 2022, the Foundation will strive to increase corporate giving through grants, sponsorships, and Annual Giving.

Why we do it?

Funds raised by the Foundation support 3 main initiatives & our Capital Campaign for the Health Center:

  • Vantage Point Community Support Fund:  Enhancing Vantage Point community facilities and programs
  • Staff Support Fund:  Supporting staff development and emergency needs
  • Resident Support Fund:  Supporting individual resident needs

In addition, donations can be made to Sidwell Gardens,  The Joy of Art, social and cultural activities, and other various special projects throughout the year.

What have we done in recent years ?

Supported Live Where You Work Initiative, funded $60k for WiFi upgrade, purchased a bladder scanner for residents use onsite, upgraded TVs and Gym equipment, supported the Joy of Art and participated in Employee Appreciation and Bereavement initiatives.
