Funds raised by the Foundation support 3 main initiatives
Community Support
Ways the Foundation Enriches Life for Resident, Family Members and Staff.
Since its formation, the Columbia Vantage Point Foundation has supported numerous initiatives including:
- Heartfelt Connections®: Memory care, community certification and staff training
- Community Wi-Fi Upgrade
- Joy of Art Rotating Resident Art Displays
- Creative Aging Arts Workshops
- Exterior Landscaping Projects and Sidwell Garden
- Electric Transit Van and Electric Vehicle Chargers
- Auditorium Chairs
- Staff-on-Duty Signage
Funded the purchase of:
- Memory Table for Monterey Place
- Fitness and rehab equipment: Therapy stairs, elliptical, massage
- A bladder scanner for residents use onsite
- 3 flat screen TV’s for the pub and lounge
- Weekly floral arrangements
Resident Support Fund
Supporting individual resident needs.
The Columbia Vantage Point Foundation with Residences at Vantage Point commits to ensuring that no resident loses a home for a lack of funding/resources that occurs though no fault of their own. In support of this commitment, the Foundation sets aside a certain amount of funds, to be made available upon approved application to support resident housing and/or healthcare. Please request RVP’s official Policy for how/when Foundation funds are utilized in support of continued resident housing and/or care.
Staff Support
Employee Appreciation Fund and Emergency Assistance
One-time funds are available upon approved application through RVP’s Human Resources Department to meet staff financial emergencies that occur through no fault of their own. Additionally, the Foundation processes funds that are raised annually by the Residents’ Association as year-end appreciation gifts to staff
Staff Continuing Education Fund
The Foundation raises and expends funds through RVP’s Human Resources Department to support approved employee continuing education requests, up to $5,000 per applicant per year.
We appreciate your gifts in support of the many ways in which we make life better for the Residents & Staff of Vantage Point! You may give generally to the Foundation, which supports all of our programs, or you may designate your gift to a particular program.
